Carole Finn – Painter/Printmaker
After a lifetime working toward establishing an Art community in Haliburton County which included a Guild, a school (HSTA) and a gallery (Rails End), Carole Finn has now returned to her first love to become a full time artist - painter/printmaker. Her artistic vision has been developed through years of training at OCAD, York University Fine Arts and the Haliburton School of the Arts. She paints in series on large, bold canvases, areas that are inspiring and in need of greater recognition. Presently, 2011, ten canvases are being completed about the Wild Water Preserve, Minden. These will be followed by a series on Haliburton Forest, 2012. To date 14 works have been completed about the Trails and Beaches of the Pacific Rim.
